The clown's smile

 A classic in Madrid's halls of residence that little by little spread to other Spanish university environments. The story goes that a young girl was waiting for the night bus at a bus stop in the Metropolitan area, the most important center of residences in the capital. The place is characterized by being surrounded by parks on the university campus, which in conjunction with the buildings of the empty faculties and the night, was undoubtedly a setting worthy of a horror movie. While the girl was waiting for her bus, a group of neo-Nazi-looking boys arrived in the area and began to harass her. The situation ended with them "drawing" the so-called clown smile on her face so that she could not scream, because their macabre intention was to rape her. The said smile is nothing more than a cut on each side of the corner of the mouth that prevents the victim from screaming to avoid tearing herself even more.

The facts could not be verified, but the rumors were so insistent that in 2003 there was a meeting of several directors of residence halls to find out how much truth there was in the story and try to put an end to the alarm that spread with a trail of gunpowder. among young people from Madrid

Un clásico de las residencias universitarias madrileñas que poco a poco se fue extendiendo a otros entornos universitarios españoles. Cuenta la historia que una joven esperaba el bus de la noche en una parada de ómnibus del Área Metropolitana, el centro residencial más importante de la capital. El lugar se caracteriza por estar rodeado de parques en el campus universitario, que en conjunto con los edificios de las facultades vacías y la noche, era sin duda un escenario digno de una película de terror. Mientras la niña esperaba su autobús, un grupo de chicos con aspecto de neonazi llegó a la zona y comenzó a acosarla. La situación terminó con ellos “dibujándole” la llamada sonrisa de payaso en su rostro para que no pudiera gritar, pues su macabra intención era violarla. Dicha sonrisa no es más que un corte a cada lado de la comisura de los labios que impide que la víctima grite para evitar desgarrarse aún más.

Los hechos no pudieron comprobarse, pero los rumores eran tan insistentes que en 2003 hubo una reunión de varios directores de residencias para saber cuánto había de verdad en la historia e intentar acabar con la alarma que se extendía con un rastro de pólvora. entre los jóvenes de Madrid
